DC Kulgam leads grand Tiranga rallies at Panchanpathri, GDC under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign
Massive rallies held to promote patriotism and reverence for the National Flag and National Song
KULGAM, AUGUST 13 (PTK): As part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and the commemoration of 150 years of Vande Mataram, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, on Thursday led grand Tiranga rallies at Panchanpathri and Government Degree College (GDC), Kulgam, ahead of Independence Day celebrations.
The rallies were organised by the District Administration Kulgam in collaboration with the Sub-Divisional Administration DH Pora and GDC Kulgam to invoke the spirit of patriotism and promote reverence for the National Flag and National Song.
Participants marched with the Tricolour in their hands as patriotic songs echoed through the surroundings, creating an atmosphere of unity, pride and national spirit.
At Panchanpathri, the rally passed through the high-altitude meadow located in the sub-division and was joined by SDM DH Pora Bashir Ul Hassan, Tehsildar DH Pora Zahid Ganie, students and a large number of local residents.
At the GDC Kulgam campus, the Tiranga rally led by the Deputy Commissioner was joined by the Principal, faculty members and students before proceeding through the town.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Kulgam said that the Tricolour is a symbol of national pride, unity and sacrifice for every Indian. He highlighted that the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign aims to deepen citizens’ connection, particularly among youth, with the values of freedom, patriotism and nation-building.
“The overwhelming participation of students and citizens today reflects the indomitable spirit of our district. I urge every household to hoist the National Flag with pride from August 13 to 15 and make this campaign a mass movement,” the DC said.
He appreciated the Principal, faculty and students of GDC Kulgam for their active participation in national campaigns and commended the officials and volunteers for ensuring the smooth conduct of the rallies.(PTK)
