Thousand offer funeral of slain Muzzafer in Pulwama

SRINAGAR, (PTK): Thousand of people including women and children attended funeral prayers of slain Muzzafer Ahmad Sheikh in his native village Tahab in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

As per an eyewitness, thousands of people were waiting for slain’s body since morning when they heard about his death in encounter with government forced at Panzgam, Pulwama. Locals from different areas of Pulwana started marching towards his residence since morning to attend his funeral.

Emotional scenes were witnessed when slain’s body reached home where people were seen dropping water from eyes. Women were heard singing songs of Islam and Freedom and were seen showering candies and flowers over his body. Slain’s body was kept in the area for hours where different preachers spoke to the crowd. People were seen chanting pro-freedom, pro-Islam and pro-Pakistan slogans.

The body of slain was later taken to local graveyard where we was buried.

Soon after the news of his death spread in the area, youth hit streets and started clashing with forces. Forces resorted to to teargas shelling after they failed to chase away youth. Clashes continued during his funeral. When this story was filed, clashes were on in the area.

Muzaffer along with his two associates was killed in Panzgam area of Pulwama.
