Teenage boy drowns to death in flood Channel Srinagar

SRINAGAR (PTK):- A teenage boy slipped to death in flood channel in Tengpora area in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Thursday.

An official said that a 18 year old boy slipped into flood channel and soon after the incident a police team alongside locals launched a rescue operation at the site.

He said that despite rescue operation boy couldn’t be saved and finally his dead body was retrieved from the channel.

He has been identified as Masood Ahmad Kalas (18) son of Muzamil Kalas resident of Poshkar Kangan.

Meanwhile after legal-medico formalities, body is being handed over to legal heirs while further investigation has been taken up.
