Sub standard material used on Wayil Gutlibagh road, alleges locals

Srinagar, Jul 21 (PTK): Residents of Wayil-Gutlibagh area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district accused Roads and Building (R&B) department of using poor quality material in macadamization of roads in the arra

Residents of area claimed that the road macadamised by Roads and Building department broke within 48 hours of completion of work showing the quality of the material used by the contractors to macadamize the roads in the town.

The residents of other areas also alleged department for using sub standard material in the work.

Group of people talking with PTK said that only after one night of macadamization, it developed cracks and road got damaged partially which clearly states usage of poor quality material in construction.

They also said that once they tried to contact contractor and R&B officials, they misbehaved with locals and said it is enough for you people.

Locals demanded that matter must be enquired. (PTK)
