SSP Handwara holds meeting with retired police officials at DPL Handwara
December 13(PTK): A meeting of retired police officials was conducted at the District Police Lines (DPL) Handwara, which witnessed a large and enthusiastic gathering of retired personnel. SSP Handwara, Shri Sahil Sarangal, IPS, attended the meeting as the Chief Guest. The meeting was also attended by Addl. SP Handwara and DySP DAR DPL Handwara. The Police Retired Association Network Group (PRANG) formally welcomed the SSP Handwara and other senior officers.
Addressing the gathering, SSP Handwara appreciated the valuable service rendered by the retired officers during their tenure and reaffirmed that they continue to be respected members of the police fraternity. He assured PRANG representatives that all genuine issues and grievances raised by retired personnel would be addressed on priority and forwarded to the concerned authorities for appropriate action.
SSP Handwara further assured that J&K Police will assist in the establishment of a counselling centre for the children of retired police personnel, aimed at providing guidance and psychological support. Additionally, he announced that a free medical camp will be organised by J&K Police in Handwara in the near future for the benefit of retired police officials and their families. Various welfare measures and initiatives for retired personnel were highlighted during the interaction. Retired officers also shared their concerns and suggestions, which were patiently heard and noted for follow-up.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks and a commitment by J&K Police to continue such interactions regularly to strengthen engagement with retired personnel and ensure their welfare.(PTK)
