Srinagar encounter:- Militant, CRPF man Killed, search on

Srinagar July 3(PTK)One Militant and One CRPF man have been killed in an encounter between militants and Government forces at Malbagh area of Srinagar District late night on Thursday.

A Police official said that on Thursday night CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area.

The cordon continued for nearly two to three hours, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.

All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed by the Forces.

ources said that a massive exchange of fire was being heard at the site of the encounter.

During the initial exchange of Gunfire, one Militant was killed and two CRPF troopers were injured, one of them has succumbed to his injuries.(PTK)
