Significant improvement in weather from today forenoon:- MeT

No forecast of heavy rainfall for next one week

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:- Meteorological department of Kashmir on Wednesday said that there will be significant improvement weather conditions in Kashmir from Today forenoon.

They said that there is no forecast of heavy rainfall in J&K for next one week.

An official said thar moderate to heavy occurred at most places of Chenab Valley, Reasi, Ramban-Banihal, Pirpanjal & North Kashmir during past 24hrs.

He said that Widespread light to Moderate Rain across J&K with decreased intensity.

“Further decrease in rainfall intensity as the day progresses,he said, adding that significant improvement from today forenoon and from 23rd onward, there’s NO forecast of any major rainfall till nxt one week.

Due to continuois rain since last few days, landslude, flash flood has occurred at many vulnerable places, mainly in hilly areas, he said, adding that people are once again advised to travel on Srinagar-JMU, Mugal Road etc.ONLY after confirming the Road Status from Traffic Police.

He further added that avoid going/working near Sloppy Nallas as Flash Flood often occurs suddenly.:-PTK.
