Eid-ul-Adha Celebrated with Religious Fervour Across Ramban
Ramban, May 27 (PTK): Eid-ul-Adha was celebrated with great religious fervour, devotion and communal harmony across Ramban district as thousands of people gathered at mosques and Eidgahs to offer special prayers and mark the sacred occasion.
Major congregations were witnessed at Jamia Masjid Sharif Ramban and Eidgahs in Banihal, Gool and Batote, where devotees offered Namaz-e-Eid and prayed for peace, prosperity and the well-being of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation.
Mohammad Alyas Khan extended warm Eid-ul-Adha greetings to the people and said that such occasions strengthen the values of unity, compassion, mutual respect and communal harmony in society.
Senior officers from the civil and police administration also conveyed their greetings to the Muslim community on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Arjun Singh Raju extended Eid greetings to the people and wished peace, prosperity and happiness for every household in the district.
Among those present during the celebrations were Arun Gupta, Varunjeet Singh Charak, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Deep Kumar and other senior officers.
Officials visited major congregational sites to participate in the celebrations and oversee the peaceful conduct of the festival.
The district and police administration had made elaborate arrangements, including security deployment, traffic management, sanitation, drinking water supply and other essential facilities to ensure smooth observance of Eid-ul-Adha across the district.
Besides Ramban town, Eid prayers were also offered at various mosques and Eidgahs in Maitra, Karol, Chandrog, Upper Ramban, Banihal, Sangaldan, Ramsoo, Ukhral, Batote, Gool and Rajgrah.
The festival was celebrated in an atmosphere of spiritual reflection, joy, brotherhood and communal harmony throughout the district.(PTK)
