Sonamarg Sep 28 (PTK): Minister of road Transport and highways Shri Nitin jairam Gadkari reviewed the construction work of Zmorh and Zojila Pass tunnel in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir on September 28. The tunnel will provide all-weather connectivity between Srinagar valley and Leh. The 14.15 Km long tunnel would reduce the travel time from 3.5 Hours to just 15 Minutes.

Also said that the emergency equipments will installed and emergency services will be availed in the tunnel
It will further improve the tourism sector in the area especially in the winter season. It is expected that this tunnel will be opened in this winter. These projects will ensure an integrated development of both the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh region in the coming years.
Once completed, these tunnels will provide all weather connectivity to those areas which face connectivity issue during the extreme snowfall season. The seamless connectivity will also ensure smooth movement of army and military vehicles during the extreme weathehis will improve the strategic capabilities of Indian Army on the Indo-China and Indo-Pakistan boarder. Zojila tunnel will connect the Leh-Ladakh region to Srinagar.
We also decorate roads of the valley so the some and some tourists come Jammu and Kashmir and by the economic increases.
He also said that Once the tunnel is completed, travel time and distance between Srinagar and Ladakh will be reduced. Besides, Z Morh tunnel will connect the Srinagar to Sonamarg with all weather seasons road connectivity.(PTK).
