Shahar e Khass 270 handicrafts Association Representative called on Renzushah.
Srinagar March, 04 (PTK) The representative of 270 main clusters of handicrafts artisans associations today called on the chairman Kashmir Society International Farooq Renzushah at his office Jawahar Nagar Srinagar. They brought in the notice of Renzushah how cruel steps during the last 4 to 5 decades were taken by the Communist regime’s continuously to slaughter and destroy the true Hanafi Sufi art of Shaheri Khas. They said that since times immemorial Kashmir Art, Wood carving, carpet weaving, Shawal making, Namda and Gaba making, Sozni works, Copper dexterous works, and thousands such creative arts reflected our composit civilization of five thousand years. Kashmir has throughout the World achieved the status of presenting unparallel masterpieces mentioned in all historical chronicles of the world. Mr. Farooq Kuchay, Mr. Abdul Ahad, the presidents of various associations, and their general secretaries appreciated Renzushah for his bold initiatives and sustained endeavors to revive Shaher e Khas as a heritage city. His efforts to build Bulbulshah khankah and campaign to revive Yarqand Sarai which was the epitome of Kashmir Art since Bulbulshah and Shah Hamdan.
They said that previous governments had clandestine agendas to kill spiritual Skill in Kashmir because of their leftist ideologies. Their bias against Art & Artisans is obvious as Previous regimes and their administered Departments never paid them flood compensations or Handicraft loss compensations. They paid billions to exporters who exploited the original Handicrafts Art of Shahar Khass. They introduced machines to kill handicrafts’ works. They encouraged Amritsar shawls to slaughter the pashmina & Raffal shawls of Kashmir. They have also collaborated with China-based corporators during the UPA government at centre to impose a ban on shahtoosh shawls to help china manufactures. These China Corporators took undue benefit of the collapse of Kashmir Art industry and ban on shahtoosh brand and they flooded the world with the same Shahtoosh in the brand name of Kashmir which has earned billions of revenue to our enemy country China because of nexus with local politicians in name of Animal Rights. The argument that shahtoosh is made after killing Chiru goats was a totally wrong argument. Thirty-five thousand goats after such a ban in March 2011 and 2012 were made to starve in Changthang to death for which no accountability was imposed till now. All those who misused animal rights arguments to kill the art culture of Shaher e Khas of Kashmir destroyed Spiritual skill as part of a conspiracy to encourage evil forces. Similarly, after covid, the hand-made carpet industry, as well as other artworks, have come to a standing halt. The conditions of handicrafts artisan of Shaher e Khas is worse than starving Chiru goat of Changthang. The majority of Artists are poor Hanafi Sufi & have learned this art from the time of Hazrat Bulbulshah RA & Shahi Hamdan today that this heritage art has been pushed down to the grave. We hope that the present Lt. Governor who has shown extraordinary zeal to revive the age-old culture Art & languages of Kashmir will issue an instruction to the entire administration to give attention to revive this art.
Renzushah assured the delegation that he will highlight their misery & personally endorse with the present administration and may take proactive steps to revive handicrafts not only in Shaher e Khas but in the entire Kashmir. (PTK)
