Schools in Kashmir Division to Reopen on Sept 8 After Weather Disruption

Srinagar Sringar Sep,4 (PTK): The Directorate of School Education Kashmir has announced that all Government and Private Schools in the Valley will reopen for classwork from September 8, 2025 (Monday), following days of closure due to heavy rains and floods.

An order issued by the Directorate, as per news agency PTK, stated that recent bad weather and subsequent flooding led to submergence of several school buildings and damage to some structures, delaying the resumption of classes.

The order directed Heads of Institutions and school staff to undertake proper cleaning and sanitization of classrooms and premises beforehand to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.(PTK)
