Sansad Khel Spardha: ADC Kathua inaugurates inter-block tourney

KATHUA, JULY 14 PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR: Additional Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Atul Gupta today declared open Inter-block district level ‘Sansad Khel Spardha’ organized by District Administration Kathua in collaboration with District Youth Services and Sports Department here at Sports Stadium.

District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Manager Sports Stadium and staff of sports department were present on the occasion.

The  one day Inter Block District level ‘Sansad Khel Spardha’ would witness competitions in Volleyball, Kabaddi, Wrestling and Athletics disciplines with the participation of 225 players from 19 blocks.

The ADC asked the players to play the games with true sportsmanship. He said that sports play a significant role to keep the body and mind fit.  He urged the players to encourage the youth of their respective areas to adopt the sports for a healthy life.

The DYSSO, while throwing light on the Inter Block District level Sansad Khel Spardha, said the department of youth services and sports is working towards inculcating the values of sportsmanship besides channelizing the energy of the youth in the right directions by giving them appropriate opportunities to showcase their sports talent.

RAJOURI, JULY 14 PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR: District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of concerned officers here to discuss and finalize the activity plan in connection with observing Ujjwal Bharat, Ujjwal Bhavishya, Power @ 2047 week under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Officers present in the meeting were ADDC, Pawan Kumar; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ACP, Abdul Rashid Kohli; SE PDD, Roshan Lal; ExEn PDD Rajouri, Hasan Mohd; GM Electrical NHPC, Jitendra Kumar; Dy Manager Safety, Vinit Sahu; Dy Manager Civil, Pramod and other concerned officers were present during the event.

During the meeting, it was informed that the programme will showcase achievements in the power sector, including the renewable energy sector along with a vision of the nation in this sector by 2047 when the country completes 100 years of Independence.

The DDC said that a series of activities including cultural programmes would be organised during the week to showcase the achievements made in the power sector in the last 75 years (Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya Program) under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav(PTK)
