Prime Minister Narendra Modi, inspired by the auspicious occasion of the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative—’Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana’. This program aims to bring solar power to the homes of one crore Indian families, marking a significant step towards sustainable and self-reliant energy.
In a social media post, the Prime Minister expressed his conviction that the people of India should harness the energy symbolized by Lord Shri Ram’s light, leading to the decision to install rooftop solar panels on one crore houses. This move is anticipated to not only alleviate the electricity burden on the poor and middle class but also propel India towards self-sufficiency in the energy sector.
The Prime Minister shared images of discussions with officials regarding the ambitious scheme, signaling a commitment to environmental consciousness and innovative energy solutions. This announcement comes on the heels of the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram temple, attended by dignitaries including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, UP Governor Anandiben Patel, and RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat.
During the ceremony, Prime Minister Modi expressed gratitude to the Judiciary for their role in resolving the long-standing dispute, emphasizing the construction of the temple through just means. He highlighted the historical significance of the moment, stating, “This is India’s time, and India is going to move forward. After waiting for centuries, we have reached here. We will continue to reach the heights of development.”
