Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani Hears Public Grievances During RAABITA Outreach in Jammu
Jammu, May 22 (PTK): Nasir Aslam Wani on Thursday conducted an extensive public outreach programme under the RAABITA Initiative at the RAABITA office on Canal Road Jammu and interacted with several delegations and individuals from across Jammu division.
During the programme, a large number of public delegations highlighted issues related to development, welfare measures, recruitment, banking and public services and sought speedy redress of their grievances.
Interacting with the deputations, the Advisor issued on-the-spot directions to concerned officers for priority resolution of public grievances and advised delegation members to remain in touch with respective departments to ensure timely disposal of issues.
Among the delegations that met the Advisor was a delegation from GCC Gurha Slathia (NGO), which raised issues related to area development and social welfare measures.
A deputation from the Citizen Forum of Bathindi Welfare Board highlighted developmental concerns of the Bathindi area and sought government intervention for their resolution.
A delegation led by the Chairman of Citizens Cooperative Bank Limited Jammu also met the Advisor and projected issues concerning the functioning of the bank.
Meanwhile, retired migrant employees of the Revenue Department sought intervention regarding treatment of their service period as on-duty and early approval of pending leave encashment benefits.
A delegation from Panthal area raised issues concerning land related to Kendriya Vidyalaya at Panthal and discussed developmental requirements of the institution.
JKPSC and JKSSB aspirants also met the Advisor and projected grievances regarding recruitment examinations, delays and uncertainty in the recruitment process affecting candidates across Jammu and Kashmir.
Several individuals from Kathua district also called on the Advisor and highlighted their issues.
Nasir Aslam Wani said the RAABITA initiative has been launched to strengthen direct interaction between the government and citizens and ensure prompt redress of public grievances. He directed the concerned officers to follow up on all issues raised during the outreach programme for time-bound disposal.
Special Secretary RAABITA Sohail Noor Shah, Additional Secretary RAABITA Aziz Ahmad, Under Secretary RAABITA Anu Sharma and other concerned officers were also present during the programme.(PTK)
