Order to manage covid-19, DM Ramban issues restriction order

 

SRINAGAR JUNE(PTK)In order to contain deadly covid-19 district magistrate Ramban has issued order to enforce restrictions in the district

The order reads:-

Whereas, COVID-19 has been declared as global pandemic by World Health Organization (WHO) affecting several Countries of the world including India;

Whereas, the advisories issued by the Health Authorities to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic and break the transmission chain of the virus, it is necessary to enforce certain restrictions in order to control the spread of the virus in the District;

Whereas, the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) has an alarming rate of spread and is considered highly contagious thereby necessitating the enforcement of certain restrictions for maintaining social distancing among the masses in order to control the spread of virus in the District;

Now, therefore in view of the above mentioned facts and in the interest of safety and well being of general public at large, Nazim Zai Khan, KAS District Magistrate Ramban in exercise of the powers vested in me under Section 144 Cr PC, Section 34 of National Disaster Management Act, 2005 and in accordance with Section 2 of the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 do hereby c to impose following restrictions within the territorial limits of District Ramban with immediate effect:

1- No person shall venture out of his home and shall leave their home only in case of urgency.

However, in no case more than three or more persons shall assemble at any public place in the towns/villages of the District.

2- All the establishment except those providing essential commodities/Services having valid pass from the competent authority as notified Vide Govt Order No: 60-FCS&CA of 2020 dated: 02.03.2020 shall remain shut down from 01062020 to 08062020

3- No movement across Mohallas/Town shall be allowed for purchase of essential commodities and all have to endeavor for getting essential commodities from the nearby shops in the locality/Mohala strictly adhering to social distance norms.

4- No public/Private movement, assembly, gathering or procession of any nature including religious, social, political or ritualistic involving three or more than three persons shall be allowed in the District including towns and villages.

5. No public or private transport shall ply in the District except goods vehicle carrying essential items from 01062020 to 08062020 orders with proper permits/passes issued by this office.

6- Further any order(s) issued with regard to declaration of Containment/Red Zones/buffer Zones and restrictions thereof shall remain force area. the areas envisaged in the respective

However, these instructions shall not apply to Govt vehicles, ambulances and Govt staff involved in the efforts against COVID-19 and staff of essential emergency services with due passes/ Identity Cards.

Provided that the above order shall not apply to Police or Paramilitary persons or any other Govt Servants on official duties for management of essential services with proper ID/Passes.

This order shall remain in-force from 01062020 to 08062020

In view of the emergent nature of the order, it is being passed ex-parte and addressed to the public in general. It shall be circulated in print, electronic, social media and through the medium of loud speakers for information of all concerned.

Any violation of this order shall invite action under Indian Penal Code/Disaster Management Act, 2005 and Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897(ptk)
