One militant killed in Srinagar Gunfight

Srinagar, 11 Nov (PTK) : One unidentified militant was killed on thursday evening in an encounter between security forces and militants in Bemina area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district .

Official sources told Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) that one unidentified militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter and one AK rifle alongwith ammunition has been recovered from the site while the searches are going on in the area .

Earlier a joint team of Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Bemina area following inputs about the presence of Militants in the area.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering off an encounter.

Meanwhile Kashmir zone police also informed through a tweet that 01 unidentified militant killed,01 AK rifle alongwith ammunition recovered, search going on, further details shall follow. (PTK)
