Encounter rages in Srinagar outskirts 

Srinagar, 11 Nov (PTK) : An encounter breaks out between security forces and militants in Bemina area of Srinagar district on thursday evening .

An official told Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Bemina area following inputs about the presence of Militants in the area.

As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter.

Meanwhile Kashmir zone police also informed through a tweet that reads “Encounter has started at Srinagar, police security forces are on job, Further details shall follow”. (PTK)
