Muslims from won’t go for Hajj this year:- Naqvi
Delhi June 23(PTK)Saudi Arabia has announced it will hold a “very limited” Hajj this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, with people already living in the kingdom allowed to take part in the pilgrimage that begins in late July.
The decision comes in light of the increase in COVID-19 cases around the world, the lack of a vaccine and difficulty maintaining a safe physical distance among large numbers of pilgrims coming from overseas, the statement said.
More than two million people perform the annual pilgrimage in the holy city of Mecca every year, including many travelling from abroad.
Meanwhile the decision of Saudi Kingdom forced Indian government to take a decision that muslims from India will not go to Saudi Arabia to perform #Hajj due to #CoronaPandemic.
Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi informs that he received phone call from Haj & Umrah Minister of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Mohammad Saleh bin Taher Benten suggesting not to send #Haj pilgrims from India to Haj for this year.
Since late February, the kingdom has suspended the Umrah pilgrimage to Mecca due to the outbrea(PTK)
