NEW DELHI (PTK) : The Ministry of Home Affairs has made a decisive move by extending the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami, Jammu Kashmir, for the next five years, effective immediately. The organization has been declared an ‘unlawful association’ due to its persistent activities that threaten the security, integrity, and sovereignty of the nation.

This decision, originally enacted on February 28, 2019, highlights the government’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding national interests and maintaining peace in the region. By extending the ban, the Ministry of Home Affairs aims to curtail any actions that pose a threat to the stability and security of Jammu and Kashmir.

Jamaat-e-Islami’s continued defiance of legal norms and its involvement in activities detrimental to the nation’s well-being necessitate this stringent action. The ban serves as a deterrent against any further attempts to undermine the peace and harmony in the region.
