MC Rajouri organises Tiranga Rally
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR RAJOURI, AUGUST 13: The Municipal Council Rajouri today organised a mega celebration to mark Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign here under the chairmanship of its president Mohammad Arif.
Vice President Bharat Bushan Vaid; Executive Officer Mohammad Yaqoob; Former MC President – Councillor Rajinder Gupta ; Councillor Pushvinder Gupta; Councillor Mushtaq Ahmed Manhas ; Councillor Iftikhar Ali Dar ; Councillor Rajesh Gupta ; Councillor Sudershan Sharma ; Councillor Javed Choughan ; Councillor Faheem Akhter ; Senior Citizens Mohammad Azam were also present at the celebrations organised to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and to recognise the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which marks the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.

The participants, including the MC Councillors, staff of MC and senior citizens chanted slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai; Azad Hindustan Zindabad; Tiranga Hamari Shan hai; Tiranga Hamari Jan hai, Har Hath mei ho Tiranga, Har Ghar mei ho Tiranga, Hamara Desh Hame jan sae Pyara hai.
The programme spread awareness about the Indian National Flag and to invoke a sense of patriotism among the populace.
The MC exhorted the residents of Rajouri town to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it in honour, as he spoke to the media. “As our nation is celebrating 75th year of independence, bringing the national flag home signifies both a personal gesture of connection to the Tiranga and a demonstration of our commitment towards development of the nation” he added.
Others present at the event included Inspector Haneef , Inspector Ramesh Raina , Inspector Mohammad Qayoom , Supervisor Mohammad Rafiq , Supervisor Bala Ram , Sikander Hussain , Sultan Mirza , Mohammad Farooq and many others.
