Leopard captured in Budgam, Bear captured in Handwara, The local inhabitants in the meantime hailed the efforts of department concerned for its action to trap the animals

Press trust of kashmir  | Budgam : The Wildlife Department on Friday said that captured Leopard alive in Kalshipora area of Khan Sahib in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district and Bear in Handwara area of Kupwara district.

An official said that after getting information about the wild animals roaming near residential area,

a team of Wildlife department officials reached the spot and captured the animals alive.

He added that black bear, which had created panic among several residential areas in Handwara for nearly a fortnight now,

was captured in wee hours on Friday.

The bear is being taken to Dachigam Park, they further said.
