Kangan town faces water crisis

 

DDC Kangan, locals demand intervention of higher ups

 

SRINAGAR (PTK):- The residents of different areas of Kangan sub division in Ganderbal district are suffering due to non availability of water in the area since last 48 hours.

DDC Kangan A Tasmeena Adil told News Agency-Press Trust of Kashmir, that water supply has been disconnected to the area without any prior information due to which whole public is suffering.

There is no water in Public Places even at home as it seems PHE and PDC has given us gift on Ramadhan, she said.

All hospitals, schools and people living in the area are without water and few water tanker vehicles aren’t enough to cater whole area, she said.

Locals also echoed same voice and said that government must take cognizance of the issue at an earliest.

DDC along with locals sought intervention of Chief Engineer PHE and DC Ganderbal in this regard. (PTK)
