JKDMA Issues Avalanche Warning for Ganderbal District

The Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) has sounded an alarm in Ganderbal district, warning of potential avalanches in the higher altitudes. With a “medium danger” level forecasted, areas above 2700 meters are at risk within the next 24 hours.
Given the recent spell of heavy rains and snowfall in Kashmir valley, cautionary measures have been urged upon residents. Avoiding travel and activities in avalanche-prone zones is strongly advised until further notice. In case of emergencies, individuals are encouraged to contact 112 for assistance.
