JCO killed, two soldiers injured in ongoing Thanamandi encounter

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR | GANDERBAL :  A JCO was killed while as two soliders have been injured in the ongoing encounter that broke out between militants and security forces in Thanamandi area of Rajouri district on Thursday morning.

An official said that three army personnels including JCO had sustained injuries, while more reinforcement has been rushed to the spot.

He said injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.

An army official sapd that uring an encounter with militants in Thanamandi area of Rajouri, One JCO of Rashtriya Rifles, suffered bullet injuries. The JCO was immediately evacuated to nearest medical facility but later succumbed to his injuries.

Encounter broke out in the area after search operation was launched in the area on specific inputs in the area.(PTK).
