JAMMU : The second phase of Lok Sabha elections in the Jammu Constituency concluded with a remarkable turnout of 69 percent, reflecting a robust display of democratic participation. Across 2416 polling stations, voters eagerly queued up from 7 AM until 7 PM, showcasing enthusiasm, particularly among the youth and first-time voters.
The Election Commission diligently orchestrated the process, ensuring fairness and transparency at every step. The final official data reveals a commendable overall polling percentage of 69.01, underscoring the electorate’s active engagement in shaping the democratic landscape.
Key highlights of the constituency’s turnout include Akhnoor (SC) with 74.03%, Bahu at 62.34%, Bishnah (SC) with 71.33%, and other segments demonstrating significant participation, such as Shri Mata Vaishno Devi at 74.65% and Vijaypur with an impressive 75.67%.
