Ganderbal Police arrests three gamblers

Srinagar, February 04 (PTK): On a credible input Ganderbal Police arrested three gamblers from a gambling site.

A police party from Police Post Nagbal raided a gambling site following an input about gambling activities in Khalmulla area of District Ganderbal. Three persons identified as Mohammad Idress Khan son of Mohammad Aslam Khan resident of Karan Nagar Srinagar, Mohammad Amin Naqash son of Abdul Samad Naqash resident of Buchpora Srinagar and Shabir Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Majeed Sheikh resident of Upper Soura Srinagar were arrested by the police for gambling offences.

Officers have seized playing cards, stake amount of ₹24000/- and mobile phones from the gamblers.

Case FIR No. 12/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Ganderbal.

Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
