Ganderbal police arrests a bootlegger

SRINAGAR, June 28: Police in Ganderbal arrested a bootlegger during a checkpoint at Poshkar area of Kangan and recovered illicit liquor from his possession.

Officers at the checkpoint intercepted a suspicious person identified as Showkat Ahmad Kasana son of Tuta Kasana resident of Poshkar, Kangan. While checking, 13 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession. He has been taken to P.S Kangan where he remains in custody.

A case FIR No. 33/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Kangan and investigation has been initiated.
