Ex-militant who snatched gun in custody in Tral, killed
Press Trust Kashmir | Tral: Man who snatched gun in police custody at Tral has been killed after he turned down repeated surrender offers.
A top official said that Mohammed Amin Malik a resident of Nagabal Machama Tral who was arrested some days before for questioning on Wednesday afternoon snitche a gun from SOG personal and shot at him.
In the incident cop Amjid Ahmad received injuries after which Amin took shelter in generator room of the camp, he said.
He added that his family were rushed to the spot to persuade him to surrender, however, he rejected repeated surrender offers, he said
He added that he fired upon forces which was retialated and exchange of fire was on for several hours and in the ensuing gunfight he was killed on Thursday morning.
Official sources said that Muhammad Amin was an ex-militant ans was also brother of Shabbir Malik, the first spokesman of Zakir Moosa lead of Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind who was later killed in an encounter.(PTK)
