Encounter Breaks Out in Kulgam’s Adigam Village

Kulgam, Sept 28: An encounter erupted between terrorists and security forces in Adigam village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district early Saturday morning, officials reported.

According to an official statement, a joint team of security forces initiated a cordon and search operation based on intelligence inputs regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. As the security forces neared the suspected location, the militants opened fire, prompting retaliation from the forces and sparking the encounter.

Sources suggest that two to three terrorists are trapped in the area. The operation is ongoing.
