Encounter breaks out in Katoo Bijbehara

Anantnag, (PTK): Gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Katto Bijbehara in South  Kashmir’s Anantnag District on Tuesday afternoon.

Reports reaching news agency Press Trust of Kashmir that a joint team of Army,  SOG and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Kutto area.

A senior Police officer told said that while the cordon was being laid the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering an encounter.

As per the sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
