Encounter breaks out in Budgam Village

Srinagar, 06 Jan (PTK) : An encounter breaks out between security forces and militants in Zolwa Kralpora Chadoora area in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on thursday evening.

Official sources told Press Trust Of Kashmir that a gunfight breaks out between militants and security forces in Zolwa Chadoora area after a joint team of Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the village following credible inputs of presence of militants in the area.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot the hidden militants fired upon them which was retaliated triggering off an encounter.

Meanwhile Kashmir zone police also informed through a tweet that #Encounter has started at Zolwa Kralpora Chadoora area of #Budgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice. (PTK)
