Eminent Scholars including Grand Mufti gather at Mirwaiz Manzil (North) to Discuss “Nation’s Unity & Society’s Reform”

 

Srinagar, November 05 (PTK) Taking serious note of the issues confronting unity and need to reform, scholars from various schools of thought assembled at Mirwaiz Manzil Lawaypora Srinagar of Mirwaiz North Kashmir and Chairman Muslim Muttahida Mahaz Jammu and Kashmir Maulana Parray Hasan Afzal Firdousi. The solemn ceremony held on November 4 under the banner of “The role of scholars in unity of the nation and reform of society” was presided over by Maulana Firdousi and moderated by Hakeem Abdul Rasheed, Chairman Muslim Democratic League Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement issued to PTK, Remarkably, Mirwaiz Kashmir Dr. Maulana Muhammad Umar Farooq couldn’t attend the assembly due to the death of Mirwaiz Maulvi Muhammad Ahmad Shah Sahib, the son of Maulana Muhammad Yusuf Shah, the exegete of the Qur’an.

At the coin ceremony, the meeting offered condolences to the bereaved family and prayers were offered for the deceased.

Those who spoke on the occasion included Grand Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Nasirul Islam Farooqi Nishat Srinagar, Imam Hai Central Jama Masjid Srinagar, Syed Ahmad Syed Naqshbandi Sahib Ali Jan Road Soura, Agha Syed Mujtaba Al-Mosavi Al-Safavi Anjuman Shari’i Shiayan. Jammu and Kashmir Budgam, Mufti Mudassar Ahmad Qadri, Chairman of Khatam Nabubat International Jammu Kashmir Shopian, Mufti Ejazul Hassan Bandey, Founder and Moderator of Madrasah Sabeel Huda, Sopur, Master Muhammad Akbar Malik, Unity Council International Bemina Budgam, Syed Javed Abbas Rizvi Unity Council International Magam Budgam, Maulana Abdul Khaliq Dar Junaid Salam, Handwara Kupwara, Sabzar Ahmad Dar, Islamabad and Ghulam Muhammad Lone, Churoo Pattan, Jahangir Ahmad Lone , Lolpora Tangmarg Baramulla General Secretary Muslim Mutahida Mahaaz JK.
They shed light on the role of scholars in unity of the nation and reform of society in detail and called the holding of such meetings and gatherings as the most important need of the hour.(PTK)
