Elderly man killed by bear in Bandipora forests

Bandipora july 15 PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR :A 60-year-old man was mauled to death by a bear Hapatnar area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Officials said that the man identified as Mohammad Shafi Palal (60) was attacked and grievously injured by the bear in his native village of Hapatnar in Quil Maqam area of Bandipora district.

Soon after the incident, the locals shifted him to nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival, they said.

They further added that body is being handed over to family after all Legal-medico formalities.
