Elder line (Help Age India): meeting of stakeholders held at Anantnag

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR ANANTNAG, JULY 23: To make the functioning of National Helpline for Senior Citizens, Elder Line 14567 (implemented by HelpAge India in J&K), smooth and effective in the district, a meeting of officers and stakeholders was held today under the chairmanship of Additional Development Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Dar at DC office here.

During the proceedings, stakeholders were sensitised about their role and responsibilities by Project Manager, HelpAge India and Field Response Officer Anantnag.

It was informed that the senior citizens who are in need of assistance can call on toll free number 14567 daily from 8 AM to 8 PM.

Moreover, the issues faced by the elderly citizens and mechanism for their prompt redressal was also discussed threadbare.

Among others, the meeting was attended by SDMs, Secretary DLSA, DSWO, representative of Programme Officer Poshan and officers from other departments.
