Drug peddling, addiction increases at an alarming rate in Ganderbal:- Bashir Mir

Requests society, parents to play to keep youth away from drug menace

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:- Jammu and Kashmir has become a hub of drugs. A recent study has revealed that Jammu Kashmir has 600,000 people involved in drug-related issues which are approximately 4.6 per cent of the population of the Union Territory.

 

Bashir Ahmed mir Senior Leader and District president PDP in a video message requested people to kill the drugs from the society before kill us.

He said that drug peddling, addiction is increasing at an alarming rate in Ganderbal district and young people are falling prey to it .

He said that it is responsibility of everyone to keep vigil on children and their children so that we can kill drugs from the society before it kills us.

He added that J&K police has been doing a wonderful job by arresting and booking drug addicts but there is need to ramp up actions against drug peddlers.

He requested people to cooperate with J&K police so that all drug peddlers can be arrested and we can keep our youth away from drugs.:-PTK.
