DC Srinagar Reviews Revenue Record Digitisation, Sets Month-End Deadline for Completion
Srinagar, May 11 (PTK): Deputy Commissioner Akshay Labroo on Sunday reviewed the progress of digitisation of revenue records in Srinagar and directed officials to ensure 100 percent completion of the process by the end of this month.
The review meeting was held at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex and was attended by senior revenue officers including Additional Deputy Commissioners Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz and Aadil Fareed, SDM West Irfan Bahadur, SDM East Zubair Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Umar Gulzar, Tehsildars and other concerned officers.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner conducted a detailed assessment of the tehsil-wise progress of the digitisation process and instructed officers to expedite the remaining work for timely completion.
Officials informed the meeting that more than 75 percent of revenue records across Srinagar district have already been digitised, while work on the remaining records is progressing rapidly.
Akshay Labroo stressed that digitisation of revenue records is an important governance reform aimed at ensuring transparency, efficiency and citizen-centric service delivery.
He said the initiative would facilitate easy public access to land-related information and improve overall administrative functioning.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed officers to maintain close coordination and ensure accuracy in the digitised records to avoid discrepancies and inconvenience to the public.(PTK)
