DC Chairs meeting regarding Eat Right Mela/ Walkathon

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR REASI, JULY 22: As part of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, the Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal today chaired a meeting  of officers of various departments on   Eat  Right  Mela/  Walkathon at Conference Hall DC Office Complex Reasi.

The DC emphasized that in order to generate  mass awareness among the general public to improve Public Health and to combat negative   nutritional trend to fight life style diseases in the UT of J&K. She informed that the Eat Right Mela/ Walkathon is going to be held   ᴏn July 26, 2022 in district Reasi.

 Necessary instructions were issued to various departments like Police, Local bodies/ Corporation, Youth Services & Sports, Education, Social Welfare and Health for the smooth conduct of the programme and set up their departmental stalls in the mela.

  Municipal Council was asked to ensure sanitation in and around the venue besides Education Department  was directed tᴏ ensure the presence of the students for Walkathon. Health and ICDS were directed to ensure presence of anganwari workers/ꜱupervisors, Asha and Health ᴡorkers of ICDS and Health Department respectively.

  The Horticulture department was asked to ensure the installation of their departmental stalls particularly displaying the packed honey.

Among others, CPO Sunita Kanchan, Assistant Commissioner, Food Safety Madan Mangotra, CAO, DSWO besides other district officers attended the meeting.
