DC Anantnag Visits Khiram Dargah, Reviews Facilities and Infrastructure Requirements
Anantnag, June 3 (PTK): Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, on Tuesday visited the revered Khiram Dargah to review the facilities available for devotees and assess the infrastructure requirements of the shrine.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Dr. Muzamil Maqbool Beig, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Tehsildar Bijbehara and other concerned officials.
During the visit, the DC interacted with members of the shrine management committee and devotees, seeking feedback regarding the existing facilities and requirements for further improvement. He reviewed the current infrastructure and assessed the need for upgrading essential services at the shrine.
Dr. Bhat directed the concerned departments to ensure the development of all necessary amenities and infrastructure so that devotees and visitors can have a smooth, comfortable and spiritually enriching experience.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner paid obeisance at the shrine and offered prayers for peace, prosperity and the well-being of the people of the district and the Union Territory.
He also conducted a detailed inspection of essential services at the shrine, including electricity, drinking water supply, sanitation arrangements and waste management facilities.
Describing Khiram Dargah as a symbol of the region’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage, the DC said that providing better facilities for devotees remains a priority of the district administration.
He further inspected the nearby graveyard and directed the Revenue Department to address the issue related to the approach road in coordination with the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department and other concerned agencies on priority.
Members of the management committee and local devotees expressed gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner for visiting the shrine and hoped that their genuine demands would be addressed in a time-bound manner.(PTK)
