Cub captured alive by locals in Pulwama village, handed over to wildlife
Pulwama Feb 13 (PTK): A Cub was captured alive on Saturday in Payir village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district after which it was handed over to wildlife.
Locals from Payir said that some locals spotted a cub roaming in the residential area and they informed other locals about the presence of cub in the area.
Many locals assembled and started searching for cub so that it won’t harm any local or their property and finally it was found below a grainary store, they said.
They added that a local Waseem Ahmad Bhat son of Ab Majeed Bhat showed courage and captured him alive.
They further added that wildlife officials were accordingly informed and cub was handed over to them. (PTK)
