Covid-19:- Retired Doctor from Srinagar dies at JVC, toll reaches to 54

Srinagar June 13(PTK)A retired doctor from Parraypora area of Srinagar who was tested positive for ciovid-19 died at JVC Bemina during night, official said on Saturday.

Medical superintendent JVC Bemina Dr Shifa Deva said that a 74 year old retired doctor from Srinagar died during night at the hospital.

He was tested positive for covid-19 few days before and was admitted at JVC on June 02, she said, adding that doctor was suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(COPD).

With his death, the fatalities due to the virus have reached to 13 in Srinagar, followed by Baramulla ten, Kulgam eight, Anantnag six, three each in Shopian, Kupwara and Jammu, two each in Pulwama and Budgam while one death each has been reported from Bandipora, Doda, Udhampur and Rajouri.(PTK)
