In a statement to News agency Press Trust of Kashmir chairman, Shah Fayaz said DSEK GN Ittoo played key role as well. Shah said that a group of 7700 undergraduate SSA teachers are in delima, anxiety, mental trauma and are facing mental torture after serving department for 15 years.

He added that there are teachers working in the department who came from SSRB, state RRTs who are undergraduates and  are getting all benefits like 7th pay commission, arrears from 1-1-2016 but it is very much unfortunate that Government is not taking any immediate step to come clear.

He further added a committee was framed on 20dec 2018 and was directed to come up with report with in a month up to 20 jan 2019 but no report came from committee after passing two months almost.

“Same is the case with un-regularized ReTs who are in mental depression now because they are waiting for regularization from years. No order, No direction for them from government side” he added.

Shah appealed Governor, Advisor, chief secretary and secretary education to intervene in this matter so that these teachers will come out of mental depression.

Shah also requested to DSEK to make this fresh screening smooth and conducive. Shah said it is very unfortunate that after 15 years ZEOs are asking for new verification which is already done by department by a legal procedure. This whole process is creating mess, choas, confusion at ground level. Teachers are facing hardships particularly those from far-flung areas.

Hatim Qayoom general Secretary of Association also took a serious concern about time consuming process of screening, delay in report of undergraduates, delay in regularization of unregularized RETs.(PTK)
