Budgam resident attacked with sword in Kolkata, almost 2 lac rupees looted

SRINAGAR, (PTK): Another shawl seller from Budgam has been attacked by unknown persons whil he was returning to his rented room in Friday night.

Shakoor Ahmad Shah- a resident of Daharmuna village of Soibugh in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district was attacked by a group of people near Park Circus Railway Station when he was returning to his rented room which is located in Jadavpor area.

As like hundreds other Kashmiris, Shakoor too was selling shawls in Kolkata during winters. As the summer has almost came, Shakoor was planning to collect money from his customers before returning home.

Shakoor had left rented residence in morning to collect money from his customers at Sealdah and after doing his work he broaded a train from which he came down at around 06:40 pm at Park Circus Railway Station to collect money from his customer there. As according to him, when he reached a nearby bridge, four persons came in his way and abused him. He further said that while he tried to save himself, the attackers took out sword attack and attacks him. After sustaining injuries, Shakoor felt on ground and the attackers left the place but took Shakoor’s bag that according to him contained near 2 lac rupees.

He was taken to a nearby hospital by a co-shawl seller where doctors said that Shakoor has received multiple injuries in his head and abdomen however his condition is stable and imporving.

Soon after the incident, forces visited Shakoor, lodged an FIR and started investigation in this matter.

As because of darkness, Shakoor was not able to see tha faces of attackers clearly.

Nearly 20 days ago, a shawl seller who hails from nearby area of Shakoor was attacked in Kolkata. (PTK)
