Budgam Journalist Association Condemns Police Assault on Media Persons Covering Muharram Procession in Srinagar

Press Trust of Kashmir | Budgam: Budgam Journalist Association (BJA) condemned the assault on the media persons by the police, who were covering a Muharram procession in Srinagar today and term it unfortunate and an assault on the freedom of press.

BJA strongly condemned the incident and urged the authorities for action against the police personnels involved into the act.
The incident took place when the journalists were covering the Muharram procession at Jahangir chowk Srinagar and were beaten and professional equipments of few journalists were also damaged.(PTK).
