Aadhar saturation, operationalization of Aadhar centres reviewed at Anantnag

ANANTNAG, JUNE 12 (PTK): Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Anantnag, Vikas Ahlawat, today chaired a meeting at DC Office to review the progress of Aadhar saturation and the operationalization of Aadhar centres across the district.

The meeting was attended by the District Programme Officer (Poshan), Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, District Informatics Officer (NIC), Lead District Manager, and representatives of Aadhar agencies associated with ICDS and Education Departments.

During the meeting, a detailed review of the current status of Aadhaar enrolment and updation was undertaken. The ADDC emphasized the need to ensure complete Aadhaar coverage and the smooth functioning of all Aadhaar Centres to facilitate timely and hassle-free services to the public.

Ahlawat directed all concerned departments to update the email to Gov mail and ensure mandatory biometric updation in an expedient manner. The Education Department was asked to update the mismatch between school records and Aadhaar Cards, while the Health and Education Departments were instructed to immediately make the non-functional kits operational.

Further, directives were issued to the Lead District Manager (LDM) to make all inactive Aadhaar centres functional within the next 15 days.

The ADDC asked the departments to compile the list of registrations made since January 01, 2026, besides saturating the left-out population and updating Aadhaar Cards wherever required.

On the occasion, measures to improve enrolment and update services, particularly for eligible beneficiaries and residents, were discussed in detail.(PTK)
