Forest Fire Erupts in Kawacherwon, Sindh Range Kangan

Ganderbal  February 9 (PTK)  A massive forest fire broke out in the dense forests of Kawacherwon in the Sindh Range, Kangan, triggering concerns among locals and authorities. The fire, which started earlier today, is rapidly spreading due to dry conditions and strong winds.

Firefighting teams from the Forest Department, along with local volunteers and disaster response forces, have been deployed to contain the blaze. Officials are working tirelessly to prevent further damage to the region’s rich biodiversity.

“Efforts are underway to douse the flames, but the terrain and weather conditions are making it challenging. We urge locals to cooperate and avoid venturing into the affected areas.”

While no casualties have been reported so far, the fire poses a severe threat to wildlife and nearby villages. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, but authorities suspect dry weather and possible human activity may have played a role.
