Suspected militants attack on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway
Jammu, Sep 12 (PTK): A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and a forest guard were injured in firing by suspected Militants on the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Udhampur district.
According to reports, two-three militants traveling in a truck from Jammu to Srinagar opened fire at a check-post near the Jhajar Kotli police station.
The injured persons have been admitted to hospital.
The security forces have launched a manhunt to nab two – three suspected militants who fled from the truck.
The police have seized one AK 47 rifle and 3 magazines from an intercepted truck.
The driver and conductor have been taken into custody. The Cordon and search operation is underway ahead of Suketar near Katra crossing National Highway. (PTK)
