BJP Accepts Defeat in J&K, Allegedly Shifts Powers to LG: Omar Abdullah
PTK NEWS DESK
In a recent statement, National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah accused the BJP of accepting its defeat in Jammu and Kashmir by strategically curtailing the powers of the incoming elected government. According to Abdullah, the Chief Secretary has been assigned the task of amending the transaction of business rules to shift significant powers from the elected Chief Minister to the Lieutenant Governor (LG).
Abdullah, citing sources within the Secretariat, warned officials to resist any pressure to undermine the authority of the future elected government. His remarks come amidst rising political tensions as J&K prepares for its much-anticipated elections.
The BJP has yet to respond to these allegations.
