Pulwama Police Arrest Terrorist Associate with Grenade

Pulwama, Sep 05: Pulwama Police arrested a terrorist associate during a routine checkpoint at Karimabad crossing on Thursday. The individual, identified as Arsalan Ahmad Sheikh, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh from Karimabad, was found in possession of a hand grenade.
According to a police spokesperson, Sheikh was suspected of planning to attack the checkpoint, posing a serious threat to security personnel and civilians. However, prompt police action averted the potential attack and ensured public safety.
A case has been registered under FIR No. 182/2024, with charges filed under the Explosives Act and sections of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). Investigations are ongoing to explore potential links to other terrorist activities in the area.
