Sonamarg Accident: Death Toll Rises to Five in Ganderbal Road Accident

Tragedy struck Sonamarg as the toll from a road accident in Gagangeer climbed to five with the recovery of another body from Nallah Sindh in Kullan area of Ganderbal district on Monday morning sources told news agency Press Trust of Kashmir.

The unfortunate incident unfolded on Sunday evening when a vehicle carrying several individuals met with a fatal accident near Gagangeer, Sonamarg. The aftermath of the crash claimed the lives of at least four individuals, leaving families and the community grappling with immense grief.

Authorities have been engaged in intensive efforts to manage the crisis. “Among the missing two people, one body has been retrieved while the efforts are on to trace another body,” an official statement reported.

The retrieved body has been transferred to the Primary Health Center (PHC) in Sonamarg for necessary legal and medical procedures, including identification.

As the community mourns the loss of lives and grapples with the aftermath of the tragic incident.
