Jammu-Srinagar Highway Blocked by Mudslides and Landslides Amid Heavy Rain and Snow

The vital Jammu-Srinagar highway has been obstructed due to mudslides at Mehad, Ramban, and landslides at Tabela Chamalwass, Banihal, attributed to heavy rainfall and snowfall in the region.

Authorities advise the public to refrain from traveling on NH-44 until weather conditions improve and road clearance operations are completed. Prior to embarking on any journey, individuals are urged to consult the Traffic Control Unit (TCU) for updated information, as emphasized by the Jammu & Kashmir Traffic Police.
